How To Avoid Naples While Going To The Amalfi Coast
The main connection points to the Amalfi Coast are Naples, Salerno and Sorrento. The closest international airport is Capodichino , in Naples. If you’re planning your Amalfi Coast vacations the first thing you should decide is if you want to drive a rented car, if you want to use public transport and eventually rent a Vespa once you’re there, or if you prefer a private transfer.
- Transport: 1) Take the train You don’t have to fly into Naples to visit the Amalfi Coast. You can easily travel to the coast via the high speed train from any major city (Milan, Venice, Florence, and/or Rome).
- There are no direct ferry connections from Naples to any Amalfi Coast destination. However , one once you will in amalfi coast , you will free to take one to go around the coast to avoid the SS163, the only serpentine, two lane road that connects the towns of the Amalfi Coast.
